Amazing $30 Cartography Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a brief run earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is definitely permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade mapping application which enables users to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, underground complexes, cities, and continents from almost any perspective. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here is that while you can redeem the deal on any platform, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
